Wedding Makeup Artist in Vũng Tàu, Hồ Tràm

Wedding Makeup Artist in Vũng Tàu, Hồ Tràm

More couples who live abroad are choosing the coast near Ho Chi Minh City for their wedding. Vũng Tàu, Long Hải and Hồ Tràm give you the sea, a resort for your guests and a short trip from Tân Sơn Nhất airport. The drive is also easier than it used to be: the Biên Hòa–Vũng Tàu expressway opened along its full length in May 2026.

What many couples find out late is that there are few English-speaking bridal artists based on the coast. Most experienced teams work out of Saigon. So the real question is not "who is in Vũng Tàu" but "who will travel properly, arrive on time and keep my look intact through sea air and heat".

This guide explains how we do that at KINKAY, what to plan for, and what it costs.

Why a Saigon artist for a coastal wedding

A beach or resort wedding is harder on makeup than a city hotel ballroom.

We choose long-wear products for Vietnamese humidity, match colour to your own skin tone rather than the pale, bright finish that is common here, and build hair to hold in wind. Lashes are always included.

How we travel to your venue

Early ceremonies. If your ceremony is before about 7:00 am, we do not drive down on the morning. The team travels the day before and stays near your venue, so we are set up and calm at your door long before you start. A church ceremony at dawn is not unusual on the coast, and there is no room to run late.

Later ceremonies. For a ceremony later in the day, we usually drive down on the morning with enough buffer for traffic.

Who comes. For a bride alone, Kay works with a hair stylist. For a larger party, such as mothers, bridesmaids and family, we add artists so that everyone is finished on time, not just the bride.

Travel cost. Travel inside Ho Chi Minh City is included in every rate. Vũng Tàu and Hồ Tràm are outside the city, so travel and any overnight stay are quoted in full before you confirm, with nothing added afterwards.

What it costs

We price bridal by session: the morning ceremony and the evening reception are two separate sessions, and you add all-day care if you want Kay with you in between. All prices below are our published rates in Vietnamese Dong. Makeup and hair are always done together at one price.

Service Rate (VND)
Bride, morning ceremony (tea ceremony or church, one look) 3,000,000
Bride, wedding reception (one look, rebuilt for evening light) 5,000,000
All-day care (Kay stays with you, re-touches and changes the look between ceremony and reception) 2,000,000
Bride, full wedding day (ceremony + reception, all-day care included) 10,000,000
Mother of the bride or groom 2,500,000 per person
Bridesmaid, sister or family member 1,800,000 per person
Wedding guest, makeup and hair from 1,800,000 per person
Bridal trial with photographs (not compulsory) 2,000,000
Men's makeup and hair 1,200,000 per person

Plus travel and overnight to the coast, quoted in advance for your venue and headcount. See our full pricing page.

A sample wedding morning by the sea

Here is how a dawn ceremony usually runs. We plan backwards from the moment you walk and keep twenty minutes in hand.

For a later ceremony, the same timing simply moves. If you have family members to finish too, they start before you, in parallel with a second artist.

Trial: do it in Saigon

Most couples flying in spend a few days in Ho Chi Minh City before heading to the coast. That is the best time for a trial. We do it in the city, you see the look in photographs, and we keep notes so the wedding morning matches what you approved. If you cannot be in Vietnam before the week of the wedding, we start with a video call and reference photos.

Tips for a coastal wedding look

  1. Choose a hairstyle with structure. A low textured bun or half-up style survives wind far better than fully loose waves.
  2. Plan your veil for wind. A shorter or weighted veil photographs better on the beach.
  3. Keep a blotting kit with someone you trust. We hand one over before you walk.
  4. Think about light. If your photos are at sunset, your look should be built for warm, low light.
  5. Drink water and eat before you start. Long, hot days show on the skin.
