Bachelorette Party Hair and Makeup in Saigon
Saigon has become a favourite for bachelorette weekends and girls' trips. Flights from Singapore, Bangkok, Seoul and Sydney are short. Rooftop bars, river cruises and late dinners are easy to book. And the city looks its best at night, which is exactly when everyone wants to look their best too.
The hardest part of a group night out is not the bar list. It is getting four or five people ready at the same time, in a hot city, without someone starting their makeup at lunchtime. This guide explains how to plan hair and makeup for a group in Ho Chi Minh City, what look holds up, and what it costs with KINKAY.
Why book a makeup artist for a bachelorette in Saigon
Three reasons come up again and again from the groups we meet:
- Heat and humidity. Saigon sits around 30°C most of the year. Makeup done at home in a cold climate can slide off by the second bar. Products and technique for humid weather make a real difference.
- Photos. A bachelorette weekend produces hundreds of photos and videos. Under flash and phone cameras, a professional base looks smooth instead of patchy.
- Time together. Getting ready together, with drinks and music, is part of the fun. Nobody wants to spend that hour fighting with a curling iron in a hotel bathroom.
How to schedule a group
A full glam look with makeup and hair takes about 90 to 120 minutes per person. With one artist, five people would need most of the day. So we plan a group differently:
- For a group of four or more, we bring an extra artist. Makeup and hair run in parallel, and the whole group finishes within a few hours.
- The bride goes last. Her look is the freshest when you walk out the door, and she can relax with everyone while the others are done first.
- Count back from your first booking. If dinner is at 19:30, we usually start around 15:00 for a group of four. We confirm the exact start time and team when you book.
- Send one message for the group. One person sends the names, number of people and the address. That avoids five separate chats and double bookings.
We come to you. Your hotel room, serviced apartment or Airbnb in District 1, District 3 or Thảo Điền all work, as long as there is a table, a mirror and good light near a window.
Choosing a look that lasts all night
A bachelorette night is long: dinner, drinks, maybe dancing until late. The look has to survive heat, a crowded bar and plenty of hugging.
- Skin first. A light, long-wear base that looks like skin, not a mask. Heavy foundation melts faster in humidity.
- Eyes that photograph well. Soft definition or a bit of shimmer reads well in dim bars and on camera.
- Lips you can reapply. Choose a colour you can top up yourself. We tell you which shade we used.
- Hair that holds. Soft waves fall flat quickly in humid air. Half-up styles, sleek ponytails and low buns hold much better on a night out.
- One statement for the bride. Many groups keep everyone in a similar soft glam and give the bride one difference: a bolder lip, a veil clip or a hair accessory.
If your group has a theme, such as all white, a colour code or matching outfits, send us a photo of the outfits before the day. We plan tones to match.
A sample timeline
Here is a timeline that works for a group of four with dinner at 19:30 in District 1:
- 15:00 Artists arrive, set up near a window.
- 15:15 to 17:45 Makeup and hair for the three friends, two at a time.
- 17:45 to 18:45 Bride's makeup and hair.
- 18:45 Group photos in the room while the light is still good.
- 19:15 Leave for dinner.
If you also want a daytime photoshoot, for example at the Saigon Central Post Office or on a rooftop, tell us when you book. Morning or late afternoon light is far kinder than midday sun.

Booking tips
- Book two to four weeks ahead. Weekends from November to February fill up first, especially around Christmas and New Year's Eve.
- Confirm the headcount. A group of four that becomes six on the day needs a different team. Tell us as soon as numbers change.
- Share the address and floor. Some apartment buildings need a guest registration at reception. Let your host or front desk know artists are coming.
- Prepare your skin. Clean face, no heavy cream right before we start. If anyone has sensitive skin or allergies, tell us in advance.
